AM Series

This series explores the intersection of technological innovation and healthcare, examining how research breakthroughs improve our daily lives. The field of robotics has revolutionized surgery and helped develop prosthetics that mimic the movement of human limbs. Advancements in genomics enable personalized, genetically tailored treatments for certain conditions. A global pandemic reignited interest in vaccines for diseases such as Lyme disease.
The World Health Organization defines “good health” as a dynamic balance involving physical, mental, and social well-being. One talk will focus on mental health challenges such as depression and anxiety, and another will zero in on managing a chronic condition, like diabetes for example.
And finally, where is health care headed locally? Are there new programs or new directions on the horizon? Join us for this comprehensive exploration of medicine and healthcare — as it looks today and where it may be headed in the future.
