Serological biomarker discovery, verification and validation to diagnose and monitor disease
Dr. Jeremy Simpson’s lab, in collaboration with Dalhousie, is currently recruiting healthy male and female participants for the study “Serological biomarker discovery, verification and validation to diagnose and monitor disease”. The objective of the study is to identify new blood biomarkers to better diagnose and treat disease. We are looking for healthy male and female participants over the age of 40 years. This project has been reviewed by the Research Ethics Board for compliance with federal guidelines for research involving human participants (REB# 18-09-027).
Participation in this study would involve:
- Completion of an online/ phone screening questionnaire to determine eligibility
- One hour study visit at the University of Guelph, at which you will be asked to complete a medical history questionnaire and provide a blood sample

The Bean Study
Adults (≥18 years) with elevated LDL cholesterol (3-5 mmol/L) are needed for a nutrition study to examine the cholesterol-lowering effects of beans.
